New academy invites parents

2016-10-12 06:00

THE Vista Junior Academy in Bloemfontein brings excellence to the community.

The management of Vista Junior Academy invites all prospective parents to visit the premises of this exciting development in Vista Park.

“As a private school, we strive to bring top-of-the-range and innovative education closer to the community. High transport costs require private schooling to invest closer to the communities they serve, making excellence in education more affordable,” says Sonja van Aswegen, principal of the Vista Junior Academy.

The institution also offers day care for babies from three months old. Registrations are now open for gr. 1 to gr. 3.

The educational philosophy is based on the quote: “Think. Understand and Apply”.

The teachers at Junior Academy play a significant role in the optimum development of the child. They are trained, qualified staff members who have a background in early childhood development. All skills for development are based on the curriculum of the Department of Education.

All groundwork for formal primary school preparation is implemented, physically, emotionally and intellectually. Pre-reading skills are developed through audio and visual perception.

Progress is monitored through observation and continuous assessment and reports are given four times a year.

Learning areas are monitored and early intervention is arranged to improve learning areas. Opportunities for self-exploration and learning are created through play. Distinct learning areas include literacy, numeracy, life skills, art and writing.

The teachers strive for excellence in the holistic development of the child.

“The school strives to exceed every expectation of our clients through excellence in education and service.

“We need to make our children’s dreams come true through proper, dedicated and directed effort,” says Van Aswegen. Follow our direction boards in town and come and decide for yourself.
