New deputy appointed

Pinky Sharon Kekana, a member of parliament, will join the Department of Communications as the new deputy minister.

Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa appointed Kekana on Monday (26/02) during a Cabinet reshuffle to replace the former deputy minister, Tandi Mahambehlala.

Former Water and Sanitation Minister Nomvula Mokonyane was appointed as the new Communications Minister

Deputy Minister Kekana is currently a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Filling of Vacancies in the Commission for Gender Equality, a position she held since 16 November 2016.
