Youthful female model Alina Ntsiapane is contesting to become the brand ambassador for the Face of Arts Africa. This is an international multi-talent competition offering the category top 100 in Africa a once-in-a-life-time chance to compete internationally.

The international leg final is set to be staged in New York, USA, later this year.

The categories are for singers, actors, dancers and models.

Alina (23), studying towards her masters in Sustainable Agriculture at the University of the Free state, represents the Free State.

She originates from Kroonstad and competes in the modelling section of the competition.

Alina will in September perform in Johannesburg with other contestants to secure a slot in the top 100 in her category.

She was chosen by a panel of adjudicators who oversaw auditions held in April.

To be in the top 100, Alina must get enough votes that qualify her to be in the running – thus she urges members of the public to vote for her by sending an SMS with her number, 200, to 35701.

“Becoming the Face of Arts Africa ambassador will help make my dreams come true to in return help empowering young girls and influencing them to become exemplary figures others can look up to for inspiration.

With the support of the community it will make it possible for me to give hope to young artists from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“This competition is a life-changing opportunity for me,” said Alina.
