And they took him and threw him into a pit. The pit was empty; there was no water in it. – Genesis 37:24

Allow me to tell someone out there that before your breakthrough, you are going to experience a breakdown.

I have seen and heard many people giving up when they experience the breakdown process. Yes, the breakdown is not always favourable or comfortable for us, but it is needed for us to reach our breakthrough.

When society and the world rejoices in your breakdown, stay faithful and grounded – your Lord is not sleeping.

The pit or prison cell they threw Joseph in could not stop his destiny and I do declare that whatever you are facing is only a vehicle to transport you to your destiny.

A colleague and friend, Sibusiso Ngcanga, once said that the letters in the word pit stands for: Put In Test.

This implies that when they put Joseph in the pit, they were actually putting him in a test.

You are going to face a lot of challenges and attacks, but that will only serve as a test for your destiny.

Do not allow what you are going through or where you are now to stop you from reaching your destiny.

Joseph needed his brothers to cause all these bad things to him in order for him to be where he was predestined to be.

So do not hate those that cause you pain, but embrace the fact that they are only your transport towards your destiny.

Even when he was thrown into the prison cells by Potiphar he was content knowing, that too was just a test.

So beloved, it is okay if people hate you and throw you into a pit – God is going to use their trap as a step in your life.

Embrace everything that comes your way and see the hand of God lifting you up from wherever you are.

Shalom
