Sisi Ntombela, Free State Premier, is expected to deliver this year’s state of the province address (Sopa) on 25 February.

The event marks the official opening of the Free State Legislature’s programmes.

The Sopa sets out the province’s key policy objectives and deliverables for the year ahead.

It also provides the highlight achievements, flags challenges and outlines interventions to unlock development interventions for the coming financial year.

It will be Ntombela’s (63) second Sopa, after being inaugurated in March 2018 and having taken over the baton from Elias Ace Magashule.

The Sopa by each of the premiers of the nine provinces will follow the state of the nation address (Sona) by Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa, delivered to the joint sitting of the national assembly and the National Council of Provinces on 13 February.
