Pacofs offers performing artists a golden opportunity

Performing artists in the Free State are encouraged to register for the Pacofs programme.

The project is meant to offer artists an opportunity to showcase their talent and enable them to advance their career.

Registered artists will be included in the Pacofs 2019-’20 artistic project.

The registration drive targets poets and comedians, as well as drama and dance groups.

The campaign started earlier this month in Bloemfontein.

Registration in the Xhariep District will be done from Thursday (15/11) until Saturday (17/11) in Bethulie, Koffie­fontein and Trompsburg.

Registration for the Fezile Dabi District will be done from Tuesday (20/11) until 22 November in Sasolburg, Kroonstad and Frankfort.

Artist who are interested in registering for the development programme must be based in the Free State and must prepare a 15 minute snippet of their production for show­casing.

Interested artists must have detailed profiles, provide a synopsis of the show, and state the number of characters, genre, style and discipline.

Two valid contact numbers must also be provided.

Artists must indicate where they will be showcasing for registration.
