An intriguing thought-provoking theatre piece, Mount Kilimanjaro, is among the line-up to be showcased at the Vrystaat Arts Festival on Tuesday (10/07) and 12 and 14 July.

The piece celebrates Nelson Mandela’s centenary through the life and patriotism of his best friend and one of South Africa’s prominent liberation icons, Oliver Reginald Tambo.

OR Tambo’s big heart and selflessness in fighting for a non-racial and non-sexist South Africa has always been compared to the biggest mountain in Africa.

The one hour show has a strict parental guidance rule with no interval and is showcased at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein.

Doors and gates open 30 minutes before the start of the show, and open on-site parking is available.
