The Orlando Pirates supporters club in Kimberley emerged as the proud winners after beating their opponents Mamelodi Sundowns during the Oldies tournament on Sunday (05/11).

The one-day tournament, played in honour of Galeshewe soccer legends, was held at the AR Abass Stadium where four local supporter clubs, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Celtics and Mamelodi Sundowns, took each other on.

As continuation of the programme, a gala dinner will be held on Saturday, 18 November, to honour the legends with medals at the Mayibuye Cultural Centre.

The winners, Orlando Pirates, will also be handed their gold medals and trophy, while the runners-up, Mamelodi Sundowns, will get their silver medals and trophy. The tournament was a partnership between the clubs and the Northern Cape Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
