Police find burnt body

Police in the Northern Cape are seeking assistance in tracking down the family of a man whose body was found in an open veld in Transit Camp on Sunday (23/04) at about 08:00.

The body of an African man was allegedly found burnt in the veld by a passerby, who informed the police.

According to the police, the deceased is estimated to be between 30 and 32 years old.

The police have registered a case of murder for investigation. No arrests have yet been made.

“We appeal to the community to contact the investigating officer, Det.WO Surette Zandberg, on 082-469-0547, if they have any information regarding the incident or about the identity of the deceased,” said Sgt Majang Skalkie.
