PETSANA. - The police in Petsana, Reitz, are looking for Kabedi James Bessie (47).

They believe he can shed light on an incident related to domestic violence which took place in Reitz a month ago.

Capt. Zweli Mohobeleli, Bethlehem police spokesperson, said a woman had allegedly been assaulted and drenched in petrol, and then an attempt was made to set her alight.

“Her two children, a boy (eight months old) and a girl (3), were also doused in petrol,” said Mohobeleli.

“They were all rescued when a relative arrived who saw what was happening and screamed for help.

“This caused the suspect to flee the scene.

“Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kabedi James Bessie is urged to contact Det.Const. Maipato Motloung of the Reitz Detectives on 082-301-9538 or call Crime Stop on 08600-10111.”
