THE Bloemfontein police are asking for the public’s help in finding missing eight-year-old Sello Quinton Phanduba and his biological father, Bulara Sefuli. The child reportedly went missing on Thursday 11 August and the police have launched an intensive search for the child. Sello is a learner at the Primary School Joe Solomon in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.

Sgt. Fikiswa Matoti, Mangaung police cluster spokesperson, said the police believe Sefuli, who resides at Bergman Square in Bloemfontein, can help them find the missing child. Matoti said according to their information, Sello was seen by peers entering a white Mazda 323 vehicle instead of the school bus on the day he went missing. She said the vehicle reportedly picked Sello up at the gate after school, where he and his peers were waiting for the arrival of the bus that usually transports them from home to school and back. She said Sello’s mother reported him missing after he did not arrive at Kagisho Square near Phahameng in Bloemfontein.

Matoti said Sello’s mother last saw him on the morning of 11 August when boarding the bus going to school. She said the child was wearing a green Drimac jacket, a maroon school jersey, a white shirt, grey trousers and black Buccaneer shoes. Matoti said there has been no breakthrough in their search for the missing boy and further appealed for the public’s help in finding Sello. It is not clear if his biological father, Sefuli, has been located yet.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Sello is requested to urgently contact the investigating officer, WO Tsietsi Mapuru of the Mangaung FCS, on 079-464-0223.
