Police promote safe season

2016-12-14 06:01

The Free State police have launched a festive season safety campaign to intensify security during this period.

It was launched on Friday (09/12) in Bloemfontein, where LtGen Lebeoana Tsumane, police provincial commissioner, said the policing will include roadblocks, the prevention of border crimes and stock theft, acting against gang related violence and alcohol abuse crimes and compliance with the second-hand goods act.

This launch followed the Back to Basics festive season operation which has reportedly resulted in the arrest of over 2 500 people so far.
