Premier abroad to see car in action

The Northern Cape premier, Sylvia Lucas, is currently leading a delegation to Cornwall in the United Kingdom to attend the Bloodhound Supersonic Car’s first-ever public run.

This is scheduled to take place on Thursday (26/10) at the Aerohub ­Enterprise Zone at the Cornwall ­Airport in Newquay.

She is accompanied by politicians, government officials, students, learners from high schools offering Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Tourism subjects, as well as the top two learners in Mathematics and ­Science of the ­Rietfontein High School.

The MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Bongiwe Mbinqo-Gigaba, will be the acting premier for the period of 22 October to 1 November.
