A top-of-the-table ABC Motsepe League clash between current log-leaders Super Eagles and Bubchu United on Saturday (04/03) has the potential to produce another twist in the league. The other twist saw Bubchu losing its grip on the log as Eagles leaped over to claim the first spot after the league matches played last weekend on Saturday (25/02).

Bubchu lost by 0-1 to Harmony, while Bethlehem-based outfit Eagles narrowly beat Bloemfontein Celtic by 1-0 to claim the first spot on the log.

Separated by only one point, the two title-chasing teams Eagles (43 points) and Bubchu (42 points) will battle it out at the Clive Solomon Stadium in Bloemfontein. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00.

Bubchu are hoping to unleash their best to reclaim the top spot, while Eagles would like to fly up higher and break away from the five clubs currently in the running to win the Free State stream of the ABC Motsepe League.

The other title-chasing teams include Harmony in second position on the log with 42 points, Bloemfontein Young Tigers in fourth position on 38 points and Mangaung United in fifth place on 37 points.

Tigers have another intriguing local derby against the Central University of Technology (CUT) on Saturday (04/03). The two rivals will face off in the Clive Solomon Stadium. Kick-off is set for 13:00.

Tigers are hoping to make up for defeats in derbies against Mangaung and Bubchu a week ago.

Harmony will tackle Dikwena United at the Phuthaditjhaba Stadium in Qwaqwa, while Mangaung visits Warriors at the Charles Mopeli Stadium. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 15:00.

Tshiame All Stars (36 points) and Dikwena (34 points), in position six and seven, are the only outsiders in the championship race.
