Robbery suspects to appear in court

2018-12-05 06:01

Three armed robbery suspects will soon appear in the Odendaalsrus Magistrate’s Court.

This followed their arrest for robbery of a clothing store on 30 November. The men reportedly pretended to be customers.

Col. Thandi Mbambo, provincial police spokesperson, said one of them pointed a firearm at employees and took cell phones and clothes. Swift response by the police lead to the arrest at a house in Odendaalsrus and discovery of a silver Corsa bakkie and a silver Volkswagen Polo, which was used as getaway cars.

Mbambo said stolen items to the value of R850 000 were found as well as the firearm suspected to have been used in the commission of the crime.
