Sankara, Fileccia out

2015-11-11 06:00

BETHLEHEM. X Free State Stars defender, Robert Sankara, has been ruled out for a month, while striker Andrea Fileccia faces weeks on the side-lines through injury.

The influential pair sustained knocks in the club’s goalless league draw with SuperSport United at Goble Park a fortnight ago. Burkina Faso international, Sankara, hurt his ankle and knee, according to Ea Lla Koto’s official website.

Fileccia, who is joint-top of the PSL scoring charts with five goals, sustained a broken nose.

Meanwhile, Sthembiso Ngcobo and Reuben Thebekang are still battling with hamstring problems. However, Da Costa Angula and Sydney Masana will make their return in the Stars’ next game against Mamelodi Sundowns on 21 November.
