A destitute family was surprised with an early Christmas by the Northern Cape SAPS Provincial Corporate Communication Office on Wednesday, 14 November, when they showed up with gifts at the family’s doorstep.

The team donated beds, curtains, bedding, cupboards, carpets, toiletries, food and a Bible.

The family is currently receiving medical treatment and are unemployed.

The team also did some spring cleaning and spoiled the family with boxes filled with clothing items for the coming festive season.

The items were collected by the Provincial Corporate Communication Office.

The day’s activities formed part of the build-up project to the 16 Days of Activism for no Violence against Women and Children campaign.
