Sassa payments done earlier

2017-11-22 06:02

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) announced that payment of all social grants to beneficiaries for the December 2017 cycle will be done earlier, with payments commencing on 28 November.

Kgomoco Diseko, national spokesperson, said funds would become available for collection at ATMs and all other payment channels from 28 November. Payment at Sassa pay points will start on 28 November, except for in the Western Cape, where it will commence on 1 December.

Diseko said the actual payment dates for pay points were printed on the receipts beneficiaries received with their November payment, adding that funds would be available for collection at ATMs and stores until 22 December.

He said the last date for payments at Sassa cash pay points would be 15 December, strongly advising beneficiaries to keep their Sassa payment cards and PINs safe and not to share them with anyone.
