School choirs can win big with competition

Checkers is looking for South Africa’s best school choir with the Big Voices for Little Garden competition.

Schools who believe their choir has what it takesare invited to enter the competition by Sunday, 20 May, to stand a chance of winning their share of R60 000.

To qualify for the entry, school choirs have to learn the Checkers Little Garden song and get creative with their performance.

The winning school will walk away with R30 000, while the schools in second and third place will receive R20 000 and R10 000 respectively.

According to Angelique Wagner, brand publicity manager, the school choirs will be required to learn the song and film their performance of the song (using any instruments).

Entries can be submitted via Facebook by tagging Checkers SA and using #CheckersLittleGarden.

It can also be emailed to competitions@­ or uploaded to www.checkers­littlegarden.­

The competition will heat up when the top ten entries have been selected.

The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite school choir by Sunday, 3 June.
