School needs funds for tour to Portugal

2017-03-08 06:03

The management of Castle Bridge School are requesting the public’s assistance in donating funds or sponsoring the school’s educational international tour to Portugal.

The educational trip will be undertaken during this year’s Easter Holiday.

Castle Bridge School will be touring the Colegio Gaudalupe, an international private school in Lisbon, the Madeira Regional Hospital, as well as the Tourism School.

To make the trip a reality, the school needs R30 000. This R30 000 will cover the expenses of six learners.

These learners are chosen to participate in events in Portugal.

The Bloemfontein-based school has been invited to participate in international tourism promotion programmes.

This will be the first time ever that the school undertakes such an international tour to Portugal.

“The trip was only confirmed on 23 February.

“It does not leave enough time for parents to save money for their children going on this trip to Portugal.

“Our learners are unfortunately from a disadvantaged background.

“We would appreciate the public’s assistance,” said Puleng Mofokeng of marketing at Castle Bridge School.

“We would be delighted to give various branding opportunities and recognition when we acknowledge all our sponsors who contributed to make the trip possible,” said Mofokeng.

Those willing to donate or sponsor the trip, can call 051-447-6516 or they can deposit funds into the following account:

Absa Bank

Account No: 408 942 9142

Branch code: 632005

Ref: Portugal Donation.
The proof of payment can be faxed to 051-447-6812 or it can be emailed to marketing@

Our learners are unfortunately from a disadvantaged background and we would appreciate the public’s assistance.
