School shares love

2016-02-10 06:00

THE St Andrew’s School in Bloemfontein will be handing out sandwiches to the learners of the St Mary’s Primary School on Thursday (11/02) to Spread the love.

The St Mary’s Primary School is an under-privileged school in Bochabela, Bloemfontein.

The organiser of Spread the Love, teacher Mizanne Connan, said St Andrew’s Junior Interact collects sandwiches for St Mary’s every Friday.

On such a day, the school collects between 500 and 600 sandwiches.

This Thursday, St Andrew’s will be spreading the love, in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

All the sandwiches will get little red heart-shaped stickers attached to them.

Connan said the school hoped that each child receiving the sandwich would know that they were loved.

The sandwiches will be dropped off from 07:20 on the 11th.
