The 2019-’20 Premier Soccer League football season is set to roar back into life with the Carling Black Label Cup clash on Saturday (27/07) when arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates square off in the FNB Stadium.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 with gates opening at 11:00.

Tickets for this one-day fixture between the Soweto giants were sold out two weeks ago with fans showing great interest to attend this unique match.

There are still limited hospitality packages and Stadium Management Lounge tickets available at all Computicket retail outlets and on www.sail.co.za.

The unique match is the only competition affording fans the opportunity to show and implement their knowledge of the players of the two clubs.

During the fixture fans have the final say in terms of selecting players and making substitutions with the coaches taking a back-seat for a change.

The fact that millions of votes are received in determining the starting line-ups for the Soweto Derby tells the tale of a football community keen to “coach” their sides.

The pre-season clash between Amakhosi and the Buccaneers provides them with exactly that advantage to show their knowledge of the game and the players.

Spectators are warned not to bring any prohibited items like sharp pointed objects, any form of liquor, metal objects like cans, offensive posters, banners and flags into the stadium.

A full list of the prohibited items can be found on the Stadium Management SA (SMSA) website.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and will be entertained at the various activities which will include performances by a host of entertainers including BET, Sho Madjozi, Stokie (Amapiano DJ), Dr. Malinga, Gqom Princess and TDK Macassette.
