Oame Leeto (15), a Gr. 10 learner of the Albert Moroka High School, has been chosen as the SuperSport Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month for March for Express.

He was chosen for his achievements in shot-put. Oame is a very passionate shot-put competitor. He has been perfecting his ability since 2015, improving from a distance of 4,58 m to his present distance of 14,62 m.

His effort earned him a second position in the 2016 South African Open Championship held in Bloemfontein. Oame was also presented the accolade for the best throwing athlete in all ages by his club, the Fast Legs Athletics Club, at its year-end awards ceremony.

Oame’s sterling performance in 2017 saw him ending third in the sub-youth u.18 Free State Championship.

He serves as an inspiration to other athletes in his school and keeps on motivating them to become better.

Oame’s motto is: ”Being the best is only the beginning, but being the greatest of all time is all that matters”.
