While the contest to attain promotion to the third division is far from over, six teams remain intact in the Interstate Bus Lines/Safa Promotion League.

The 18 clubs in this league are left with seven games to complete the first round.

Favourites are Bochabela Warriors, Yona Yethu, Northern Lions, Elevators, United Rovers and Bloemanda All Stars.

The difference is three points among the top-seeded six clubs.

Current log leaders are Warriors, followed closely by Yethu, and Lions and Elevators in third and fourth position respectively.

Yethu, Warriors and Lions boast superior goal advantage over their opponents, which could be critical in deciding the stream winner at the end of the current season in the event that two top clubs complete the league equally on points.

However, Warriors have scored over 40 goals in ten league matches played.

Breathing down their neck are Yethu.

They have in ten games scored 36 goals while Lions had netted 32 goals.

The contest is equally intensive amongst clubs hovering in the middle of the log, as they are fighting to stay clear of relegation and improve their standing.

These are Super Lions, Real Hearts, Bayern Munich, Mighty Lions, Pubs and Super Eagles.

The six teams involved in the dreaded battle to avoid relegation are Dikoena Stars, The Echo, Eagles United, Royal Knights, Junior Masters and Morocca.
