Budding athletes, aged seven to 15 years, in the greater Mangaung Metro are invited to participate in a free development coaching and talent identification programme on Saturday (30/04).

This will be hosted at the Free State Athletics Stadium.

This is an initiative of the Pamoja Athletics Club.

Athletes will be equipped with the basics to optimise performance. Sessions cover track and field items, as well as road running and cross-country.

The programme is expected to be presented from 09:00 until 11:00.

Free transport to the event will be provided from the following places in Bloemfontein: the Atang Primary School, the Toka Primary School in Freedom Square, the library in Rocklands, the Dr R.P. Molemela Stadium, the Legae Primary School and the Batho Police Station.

The Windmill Casino’s Hot Shots Golf Tournament will be hosted on Sunday (01/05) at the Bloemfontein Golf Club, with tee-off at 07:00.

This is the second edition of the golf day, with the first staged last year.

Golfers must have an official handicap.

The format is a Better Ball Mystery.

Entry per four ball costs R5 000, and R1 250 per individual.

This includes a golf shirt, a cap, a golf towel, meal and drink vouchers, as well as mystery vouchers and gifts.

Bookings for individual players and four balls can be made at the MVG desk at the Windmill Casino.

Players have until Wednesday (27/04) to book.

The field is limited to 20 four balls.
