Lindokuhle Mhlaba (18) of the Phakamisani High School in Hanover has been chosen as Express Northern Cape’s Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month for February forhis achievements in soccer and athletics.

Lindokuhle is very active in sport, especially soccer. He plays for his school and also his local team. He was chosen for a South African Schools Football Association (Sasfa) team.

Lindokuhle was part of the team which was the Emthanjeni Mayoral Cup winner in 2017. He is the coach of the local team and coaches at school as well.

He is commended for his neatness, and for always making sure that the kit comes back to school clean, especially the playing boots and training shoes.

Because of his dedication and passion, Scatex awarded the school full kit for soccer.

The principal of Phakamisani, T.P. Zwelibanzi, lauds Lindokuhle for his talent.

“As a school we are so privileged to see this talent growing and we will support every venture that tries to boost this talent. I’m proud to say you will not regret if you put him in a challenge.”

Lindokuhle’s motto is: “Hard work forever pays”.

The SuperSport Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month is a competition for anyone aged six to 18.

You can nominate yourself or be nominated by a friend, teacher, lecturer or coach at your school or place of education.

Your nomination must include your name, age, contact details and a short paragraph (less than 200 words) of what you have achieved.
