Tshepang Tshabalala (18), a Gr. 12 learner of the Louis Botha Technical High School, has been chosen as the Express Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month for June.

He plays as a striker for Bochabela Warriors FC in Bloemfontein.

Tshepang was influential in the success of his team during the 2017-’18 season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions.

He helped Warriors to be promoted to SAB League, run by the South African Football Association (Safa), and win the u.19 boys’ Interstate Bus Lines (IBL) Promotional League.

Tshepang received a silver medal after his team had attained second position in the IBL and Safa Promotional League play-offs held on 23 June in Thaba Nchu. He finished as the club’s top goalscorer.

Tshepang has been selected for the South African squad to tour England and play against the junior side of Bolton Wanderers FC later this year. He was chosen by a football agency, Sim Sport International, for the Manchester tour. He has also been invited by Cape Town City FC to take part in trials later this year.

Tshepang’ motto is, “Hard work and self-discipline leads to success.”
