Star’s dedication leads to success

2019-03-13 06:00

Neo Moticoe (15), a Gr. 9 learner of the Sediti High School in Thaba Nchu, has been chosen as this year’s first winner of the SuperSport Let’s Play and Express Sports Star of the Month competition.

This prospective football star is February’s winner.

Neo plays for the Liverpool Football Club in Thaba Nchu.

His team was featured in the 2018 Ramothello Soccer Tournament held in Thaba Nchu, where he won a gold medal.

He also received a silver medal for playing in the 2018 Rural Development Tournament final that was also played in Thaba Nchu.

Both these annual tournaments were held in December.

Neo has been playing football since primary school, and he is also on his school’s team.

His coaches attest that he is a well-disciplined and self-motivated player; someone who is motivated to achieve greater things.

Neo’s motto is: “Dedication and motivation equal success”.

More on the Let’s Play initiative:

Over time, SuperSport has become the quintessential sports authority.

With such strong sporting influence within the South African market, SuperSport has been perfectly poised to harness this power and rally the public and corporates to truly make a difference in society.

SuperSport identified issues severely inhibiting the development of children through skills learned by playing, physical education and sport – all of which are imperative to the holistic development of young people.

It was from this insight that the Let’s Play initiative was born in November 2005.

The aim is to elevate the awareness of our social situation and to encourage play, activity and sport in schools.
