THE Flamingo Casino in Kimberley handed stationery to the value of R10 000 as well as party packs to the Kagisho day-care centre for disabled children in Ritchie.

The donation on Tuesday, 6 September, to the centre was part of the casino’s Corporate Social Investment.

Kristien Bahumi, principal of the centre, expressed her gratitude to the casino.

The Echo Band also contributed six trays of non-perishable foods to the centre.

Bahumi said Flamingo donated steel cabinets for the new classrooms, flipfiles, books and crayons.

“We really had a big shortage of stationery and had already asked parents to assist. Now, we will only buy stationery in January, thanks to Flamingo,” Bahumi said.

“The expression of joy on the faces of the children when they were given their party packets was unforgettable,” she added.
