Stretch of N14 closed at present

2016-11-23 06:00

The South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) notifies all travellers that the N14 in the Northern Cape between the Dingleton and Bruce Station turn-off and the Khomani Mine turn-off is closed.

Sanral apologises for any inconvenience caused by this action.

The road closure is required to safely lift bridge decks on the bridge over the Gamagara River to new corrective levels.

Road users are requested to plan their trips accordingly and to use caution when approaching the road works.

There is an alternative route available for use by motorists along the R325, which has been clearly marked.

The abovementioned stretch of road has been closed since Monday, 14 November, and work will continue at the following times:

  • Friday (25/11), from 08:30 until 16:30;
  • Saturday (26/11), from 08:30 until 16:30; and
  • Wednesday (30/11), from 08:30 until 16:30.
