BETHLEHEM VOLKSWAGEN, one of the most successful businesses in Bethlehem and in the Volkswagen South Africa group, is celebrating its tenth birthday.

The business is part of the Docrat Group, with dealerships in Newcastle and Ermelo as well. Mr Junaid Docrat is the dealer principal.

Bethlehem Volkswagen moved to the Maluti Square Complex, corner of Oxford and Church Streets, in November 2012. The new state of the art premises handles a larger capacity of vehicles, both on the show room as well as in the service division.

Clients enjoy the benefit of new vehicles, MasterCars, as well as parts and service divisions under one roof.

The dealership is standardised and customer friendly, which ensures improvement in customer service and productivity for excellent quality service.

The sales manager, Ameen Sheik, credits their success to hard work and commitment from experienced and well-trained staff. The public can look forward to the new Volkswagen Amarok Ultimate and the Volkswagen Caddy, which will be launched in the near future. “We are looking forward to the new models that will be joining our range,” said Sheik.

Zakaria Vawda, the service manager, says an average of 400 vehicles are serviced monthly. Vehicles are booked for services from 07:30, where a quality controller checks the vehicles before submitting them to the workshop. After being serviced, the vehicles are sent to the wash bay to be washed, after which the owner is contacted to collect the vehicle.

Bethlehem Volkswagen is rated on the Customer Service Index by Volkswagen South Africa as well as Germany. They thereby ensure that their mechanics are on track with the latest technology by attending courses at Volkswagen South Africa’s training centre in Centurion or through learning online.
