Two farm workers, Frank Harry Williams (49) and Ibrahim Moses (36), appeared before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Monday (04/12) following their arrest for the possession of suspected stolen goods on Friday night (01/12).

They were each granted bail of R300 pending further investigation.

The case was postponed to Thursday, 21 December.

The suspects were arrested on the N12 near Kimberley. They were driving a white Ford Bantam bakkie.

The bakkie was stopped and searched at an accident scene. Five suspectedly stolen pig carcasses, dressed in clothes, were found on the bakkie.

The provincial police commissioner of the Northern Cape, Lt.Gen. Peter Shivuri, commended members under his command for combating criminal activities during the festive season.
