Two suspects were apprehended for dealing in dagga on the N8 Road on Wednesday (19/07).

While Det.Sgt Tshepo Olebile and Const. Sootho Litabe of the Ladybrand Family, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit were driving on the N8 between Tweespruit and Ladybrand, they noticed a Toyota Conquest vehicle parked on the side of the road with two men inside.

They searched the vehicle and found three bags filled with dagga.

The dagga weighed 58 kg and has a street value of approximately R5 800.

The suspects, aged 32 and 33, were arrested for dealing in dagga. The Toyota Conquest used to transport the dagga was confiscated.

They will soon appear in court on charges of dealing in dagga.
