The Crazy for Walking in Bloemfontein initiative is aimed at breaking the stigma associated with mental illness by taking ownership of the word “crazy”.

This challenge is meant for 12 hours on 10 October at the Free State Stadium and will coincide with World Mental Health Day.

It is aimed at raising public awareness about mental illness which according to the World Health Organization is listed as the number one disability causing disease.

Members of the public are encouraged to form teams of five members to participate in the walk challenge from 06:00 till 18:00.

Entry is R2 500.
