Teams gunning for victory

HUNGRY LIONS who represented the Northern Cape in the ABC Motsepe League national play-offs, took the honours last season.

With four games left, about six teams of the Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League are gunning for national play-off spots.

The Môrester Jeug, who are sitting comfortably on the top of the log in stream A, are being chased by their rivals, Mainstay United.

Both Upington sides did not disappoint in this campaign with their good football display.

Currently sitting in third position is Olympics FC who find themselves way off the race.

With Môrester Jeug’s form, the chances of Olympics winning the league, are very slim.

In Stream B the race is still wide open with Colville United, William Pescod and Kuruman Kicks fighting for position one.

All three teams are being separated by three points.

Colville is sitting pretty out the top and also have an impressive record.

This season they have only lost once, during an away game against Kuruman Kicks. As the race hots up, soccer lovers are waiting patiently to see who is going to represent the province at the national play-offs to be held in Bloemfontein later this year.
