Training saves lives

2016-07-06 06:00

IN our society, it is common to come across vehicles with sirens and red lights flashing.

These vehicles are emergency medical response vehicles and are driven by trained paramedics.

Paramedics are very important people in society, because human life relies heavily on them in cases of emergency.

Think of a baby that has swallowed a poisonous substance, a person involved in a car accident or an adult who has had a heart attack. These people, and many others, need quick medical assistance, which is where paramedics come in.

Paramedics are trained professionals who are skilled in dealing with various medical emergencies.

They play a major role in preserving human life.

Paramedics also play a role in stabilising patients who are being transported to hospital to ensure that they survive and are able to get further medical attention for a complete recovery.

Being a paramedic is one profession amongst others that is very critical in society.

Many lives would be lost unnecessarily if there were no paramedics.

These people are heroes of society and they sacrifice their time and lives to help members of communities in their time of need.

The Leximed College is one college, based in the Eastern Free State, which provides training for aspiring learners who have a dream to be involved in helping society in the field of emergency medical response.

They provide various courses in line with this qualification and also have other courses that are part of their curriculum, such as first aid and firefighting.

For top-quality education and the best training, Leximed is the destination of choice where learners can get their qualifications after passing matric.
