TWO of the four suspects connected to the brutal murder of Gabankgosi Andries Mokoloko remain in police custody while the police are continuing their search for the other two, who are reportedly on the run. The pair behind bars, Letoane Johannes Raphoko (28) and Molefi Phohleli (22), have already appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder. Senah Mpakane, police spokesperson, said four mobile phones, bank cards and medical aid cards had been found in the possession of the two suspects in custody.She said the two suspects had not been able to account for all the items found in their possession, leading to their arrest.Mpakane said during the preliminary investigation the police had recovered the victim’s clothes and two knobkieries used during the brutal assault of the deceased. She said the clothes and weapons had been found hidden on top of one of the containers at a popular car wash in Bloemfontein, which is also a hot spot for entertainment and is located on the N8 road near a recreational venue.Mpakane said it had been alleged that the victim had been assaulted by security guards at this car wash. The deceased’s naked body was discovered in the vicinity of the car wash.
