The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit in Galeshewe needs assistance in tracing three men who can assist in solving a case in which a 29-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped, robbed and raped.

One of the suspects is also alleged to have been armed and to have pointed a firearm.

The victim alleges that she had walked alone at Chris Hani, Galeshewe, to a tuck shop nearby. On her way home she was approached by three unknown men. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm.

The men allegedly took her to a piece of open veld at Chis Hani, where a white VW Polo without registration approach them. The men forced the victim into the vehicle and blindfolded her.

Sgt Majang Skalkie, police spokesperson, said the rape had allegedly occurred between 22:00 and midnight on 20 October. All three suspects allegedly raped her.

“The victim was also robbed of her cell phone, and the police are investigating three counts of rape, kidnapping, the pointing of firearm and robbery,” said Skalkie.

The first suspect is described by police as an African male, aged between 25 and 33, who is of slender build and medium in complexion. He has a scar on his right arm.

The second suspect is a coloured male, light in complexion, aged between 30 and 35, who is of medium build. He has a dragon tattoo on the right side of his neck.

The third suspect is an African male aged between 30 and 35. He is of muscular build, and dark in complexion.

An appeal is made to anyone who may have information about the incident, or may know the location of these men, to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sgt Cindy de Jong of the Galeshewe FCS, on 082-495-4605. Alternatively the Crime Stop Line, 08600-1011 can be dialed.
