Woman found dead in house

The police in Bloemfontein are yet to make a breakthrough in the latest case of another woman found murdered in her house.

Dikeledi Makga (44) was found dead in her house on 18 May. She reportedly was killed in her house in Mandela View, a residential area located 20 km east of Bloemfontein.

Palesa Lepheane (39) was also found murdered in her house in Phase 6, Bloemfontein. Her decomposed body was found by the police and family members on 5 March.

Sgt. Ikobeng Hlubi, spokesperson of the police’s Mangaung cluster, said no arrest has been made and that investigation was ongoing into the “mysterious” murder of Makga.

“The deceased was found in the house with a gunshot wound in her mouth.

“Only a tablet phone was stolen from the house,” said Hlubi.

However, Hlubi would not shed light if there was any burglary at the house.

Makga was reportedly alone on the night she was killed.

Apparently her spouse and children had gone out for dinner on the night of the murder.

They arrived home to the devastating news that she had been killed.

It is not clear why she was killed.

Makga held the position of grants administrator at the South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa), a national public entity administering payment of social assistance grants.
