Woman raped in her home

A WOMAN was attacked and raped in her home in Bloemfontein, Free State police said on Sunday (07/02).

Shortly after her husband had left the house in the suburb of Generaal de Wet on Saturday between 02:00 and 05:00, a man gained entry through the bathroom window, said Capt. Chaka Marope, police spokesperson.

The couple’s two children, aged two and six, were asleep at the time.

The man threatened the woman with a knife in her bedroom.

He raped her, stole computer equipment, a cellphone and a jewellery box, and fled.

No arrests have been made.
