Phenomenal Woman, a foundation exclusively for women, has launched its 2018 programme in line with the chief objective of empowering women in business.

The event, held in Bloemfontein on Saturday (03/02) also saw the launch of the foundation’s website.

The foundation focuses exclusively on empowering and dealing with women issues, ranging from sharing ideas and empowering each other, to involvement in community social initiatives.

Phenomenal Woman is an initiative by Thato Mokgothu, a woman from Bloemfontein.

“There is a myth that women will never work together and hate each other and that when they are seen together, it’s all about gossip,” says Mokgothu.

“But we are changing that by showing women the right path, rather than criticising them.

“I believe that is just a myth and whatever you believe in, that is what you see.

“If you are positive, then you will see the positive in anything.

“I’ll make sure they will see a group of women sitting together, discussing their future and that of their children. They build sustainable businesses, build legacies.

“Let’s not think about today, but the future.

“We are very talented as women and God gave us talent. I found my passion when I was at my weakest upon finding God. My purpose is to empower women and the more I do, the more get uplifted,” says Mokgothu.

She has encouraged more women to share ideas to uplift one another.

“Be selfless as a woman and learn to support another woman,” says Mokgothu.
