Young women only have a few days left to enter this year’s Miss Bloemfontein Rose competition.

Entries will close on 14 September.

Contestants can now enter this year’s Miss Bloemfontein Rose Competition, in which a cruise is one of the prizes to be won.

This yearly competition forms part of the Mangaung Rose Festival, and is presented by the Fleurdal Mall and Bloem News, a sister publication of Express.

This year marks the 33rd edition of the competition.

Women aged 16 to 27 can obtain an entry form at Lilly’s Biltong in the Fleurdal Mall.

The first round of interviews will be held in the Fleurdal Mall on 21 September.

A group of 12 finalists, who will take part in work sessions and excursions, will then be announced.

Another round of judging will take place on 5 October.

The winner will be crowned at the Fleurdal Mall on 10 October.

Tickets for the crowning ceremony will be available at Lilly’s Biltong.

The newly crowned Miss Bloemfontein Rose will win, amongst other things, a cruise for two from Durban to the Portuguese Islands and Mozambique on the MSC Orchestra from 28 February to 2 March 2020. They will stay in a cabin with a balcony.

This prize, sponsored by the Fleurdal Mall, covers the cabin cost, harbour tax, insurance, service costs and meals.

The winner’s transport to and from Durban, as well as personal articles and services, are not included.

The winner and her companion will need valid passports for the trip.

Terms and conditions apply.

More prizes for the finalists are up for grabs.

The judges’ announcement of the winner is final, and the competition will be reviewed by auditors.

Call Andrie Els of the Fleurdal Mall on 051-522-8141 for more information about the competition.
