Zuma and NEC must go, says ANC branch

2016-09-07 06:00

A BRANCH of the ANC in Johannesburg has asked for the resignation of pres. Jacob Zuma and the National Executive Committee (NEC).

The party’s Sefako Makgatho branch wrote to ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe as far back as April, calling for Zuma and the NEC to be removed from office. Branch chairperson Sasabona Manganye said on Wednesday (31/08) that they did not get a satisfactory response.

“The NEC took a resolution where they accepted Zuma’s (Nkandla) apology. They did not follow the correct process,” he told News24.

“So it was more of a cover-up than resolving the matter. It has haunted us until today.”

The latest resolution included that the NEC resign too. – News24
