100-Year anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima

2017-10-11 06:02

ON Saturday October 14 at 12pm Greytown’s Catholic community will be saying the rosary outside Greytown Town Hall, and throughout the country there will be similar prayer gatherings.

Some of the prayer intentions are:

• That our leaders seek to honour God’s law and pray for the wisdom and knowledge necessary to solve South Africa’s complex problems.

• To stop the waves of sacrilege, blasphemy and anti-religious hatred within society.

• For each one of us, may Our Lady give us the discernment and strength to withstand the trials we face.

• For all those who suffer, may Our Lady console, help and sanctify them.

• For the dying, may Our Lady hasten to comfort them in their last moments and grant them the final grace necessary for salvation of their souls.

• For sinners, may Our Lady preserve them from despair and bring them back to the good path.

We will pray the rosary and sing a few hymns. The public is invited to join in.
