2016 KZN Women’s Parliament in Dundee

2016-08-17 06:00

THIS year marks the 60th anniversary of the historic march to the Union Building by women.
As we celebrate Women's Month, the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature will hold its annual Women's Parliament this week in Endumeni (Dundee).

Women from all six political parties, which are represented in the Legislature, will participate in the event with the theme "Women United in Moving South Africa Forward".

The Women's Parliament is part of the Legislature's strategy to broaden public participation in its oversight and law-making processes and to enhance participatory democracy in KwaZulu-Natal.

All women of Umzinyathi District Municipality are invited to attend the Women's Parliament which starts at 9am on both days. Contact a Umvoti councillor for transport routes.
