ALLAN Gray Orbis Foundation, which identifies, selects and invests in individuals who show potential greatness, is providing South Africa’s brightest Grade 6 pupils with the opportunity to shape their future by applying for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation’s Scholarship opportunity. Applications open on 20 July. Upon selection pupils will gain access to a quality high-school education, consisting of financial and developmental support. Pupils also participate in the foundationand#039;s development programme, which aims to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

Applicants must achieve 70% or higher in mathematics and English and an average of 70% in both Grade 5 and 6 and demonstrate the following:

- Intellectual imagination: enjoys being creative and innovative.

- Achievement excellence: sets high academic and non-academic standards for self.

- Courageous commitment: must be courageous­ and determined, brave and persistent.

- Spirit of significance: wants to impact others and make a difference.

- Personal initiative: prepared to take action to address challenges.

Application must be completed and submitted by Friday, 30 October and the applicant must demonstrate financial need and must be a South African citizen.
