From the courts

2015-10-21 06:00

AS many of our members were hiding from the sweltering heat on Saturday and were getting ready for the Boks game, only two courts were played. Apparently a few kilos were shed in the heat and players carried on in good spirits.

Let us get to tennis at 2pm this Saturday, play some games and then support the Boks.

Please diarise Thursday, 5 November, 5.30 pm for the Greytown Tennis Club AGM. This is a very important meeting and we need as many members to attend as possible. There will be hamburgers and drinks for sale. Night tennis will be organised for children, so bring them along.

Other important dates to remember are the Daddyand#039;s Four-a-Side fun tournament on 8 November and the Roley Hill Menand#039;s doubles on 13 December. The Four-a-Side tournament caters for all players, new and experienced, young and old as well as tired or energetic players. Organise your teams, dress up, choose a name and come and have lots of fun with us on the day. If you cannot get a team of four players together, contact the organisers and we will put you in a team. This is a not-to-miss event. Please send your entries to Pierre Steyn on 033 413 9528, 082 772 5504 or pierre.steyn@pan
