From the ditch

THE Greytown Bowls Club handicap singles matches started on Saturday with Chris Fischer (-3) beating Ernie Weyks in a hard-fought long match which stretched out the whole afternoon before Chris pulled it off.

In the other match Bryan Paul (-1) was pushed to the limit by the very in-form Wolfie Lubowitski (-1) before winning 21-18.

Others to play are Francois van Rooyen vs Jordan Bonorchis and Wessel Pretorius and Gerhard Balzer.

The much awaited fun day with Link Seed is coming up on 2 August and it is R50 per person, this includes lunch and tea - is that not a bargain for a whole day’s entertainment.

Book now, phone Gerhard Balzer on 082 379 9675 or Bryan Paul on 033 413 2157.
