FIFTY years ago the Greytown High matric class parted company as pupils wrote their final papers. Many of them have kept in touch and returned to school last weekend for a heartwarming reunion. Classmates travelled to Greytown from as far afield as San Diego, the U.S., the North and South coast KZN, Pietermaritzburg and Durban

It was a very special occasion for everyone as they recalled precious memories of happy school days, naughty pranks, remembering too those who have died and others, who for various reasons, were unable to attend.

They were delighted with the warm welcome and response from Mr and Mrs Scholtz and expressed appreciation to the Greytown High staff, Mr Germushuizen and pupils who hosted the functions at the school and took them on

a leisurely drive down memory lane around the town and to Lake Merthley.

Tranquili-ti, the Green Bar, Taylors, Greytown Bowling Club and St James Church were wonderful hosts to the group in true Geytown fashion and sincere thanks are extended to them all for making so many more wonderful memories for the 1965 matric class.
