Showville is South Africaand#039;s small-town variety talent competition where two hosts visit a different town each week and select four finalists whose unique performances are put to a vote to decide who walks away with R10 000 cash and the glory of newfound fame.

People living within a 50km radius of the venue are allowed to enter the competition.

Auditions will take place in Greytown Town Hall from 22 to 24 October.

The series hosts Rob van Vuuren and Bontle Modiselle - both nationally known throughout South Africa, who will spend time with each townand#039;s short-listed four finalists, mentoring and coaching them in preparation for the big “show-off” talent evening.

On day one, 22 October, Rob and Bontle host open auditions. Any and every type of performer is welcome to tell their story. At the end of the day, the hosts will select the four acts they feel will put on the best show for the town. They then become the finalists.

On day two, 23 October, the coaches mentor each finalist in preparation for the big “show-off” talent evening. Filming of the finalists covers the everyday life of the four, building up to the excitement and anticipation for their moment of fame.

Day three, Saturday, 24 October, is the grand finale at the town hall at 5.30pm where, in front of an audience, the top four perform and are voted for by their peers as the best Showville act of the night.

The winner is awarded R10 000 as well as a trophy as Greytownand#039;s favourite act and Showvilleand#039;s town victor.

The audience must please take note - organisers have made it very clear, no ticket, no entry as entry to the grande finale concert is strictly by ticket only.

The public will have to collect tickets to watch the grand finale from lunch time onwards on Friday 23 October, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
